Orcish ring mail is a form of body armor. When unidentified, it is crude ring mail. Unlike regular ring mail, it provides MC1, but its AC bonus is one less.
This is a low-quality item, providing only two points protection in spite of being fairly heavy, and most players do not bother with it.
